RAPID-Dx Findings Presented at Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) Conference

Current findings were presented at the virtual Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) 2020 conference, a scientific meeting that brings together military, government, academia, and industry experts to discuss latest research findings around unique needs of the Warfighter.
More Information:

Cohen Veterans Bioscience, through its Research Alliance for PTSD/TBI Innovation and Development Diagnostics (RAPID-Dx) Program, is building a critical framework to support the discovery of biomarkers of TBI and PTSD. Through RAPID-Dx, we are embarking on comprehensive comparison of technologies – or technical “Bake-Offs” – for measuring a variety of omics markers. Our initial focus is on two areas of interest for trauma-related brain disorders: inflammatory cytokines and metabolomic markers.

Current findings were presented at the virtual Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS) 2020 conference, a scientific meeting that brings together military, government, academia, and industry experts to discuss the latest research findings around unique needs of the Warfighter.

Results from these studies will enable researchers to identify optimal tools for use in future studies. The Inflammation Bake-Off was recently published in Cytokine X, and analyses for the Metabolomics Bake-Off are ongoing. In our next phase, we intend to evaluate epigenetic and transcriptomic platforms.
